Murder mystery

Laitse, some tens of kilometres southwest of Tallinn, is mentioned already in Henry’s Chronicle of Livonia. In April 1883, Natalie von Uexküll bought the estate for her son Woldemar.

Woldemar von Uexküll built Laitse’s imposing neo-Gothic manor house around 1890. In the 1919 land reform, large estates were nationalised. Part of the manor centre nevertheless remained with the Uexkülls. The estate is managed, as commissioner, by Heinrich von Uexküll, son of Woldemar von Uexküll. Heinrich is planning to sell the manor.

Woldemar von Uexküll has arrived from Switzerland. He came home to realise the last remaining assets here. After all, a son cannot be trusted in everything!

Heinrich arranges a festive dinner in his father’s honour. Among the guests are dashing officers, wealthy businessmen, venerable clergymen, beautiful ladies… Are all the proud lords and ladies really who they claim to be? Might one of the honourable guests be harbouring evil thoughts?

The global economic crisis has reached Estonia, yet high society still lives a lavish and merry life.

In a cosy and elegant restaurant, guests are received by the honourable General Otto Taalberg, whose priorities are the security of the Republic of Estonia and the well-being of his own family. Today the wealthiest and most influential gentlemen and ladies have gathered here. Unfortunately, the company also includes a few persons whose presence the honourable general is not pleased about.

As the evening progresses, it turns out that several seemingly distinguished guests carry a dirty secret. All of this ultimately leads to murder! It is up to you to find out who the murderer is and what the motive was. The murder investigation begins…
